作品创作历经十年，作曲家精益求精，曾几易其稿使作品日臻完美。作品采用大提琴与中国民族管弦乐队协奏的形式，表现庄子的哲学观，以求道之神韵，是西洋乐器与中国民族乐器的完美结合。
This work was born after ten years of crafting and perfecting. The music presents in the form of cello concerto with Chinese orchestra, expressing the philosophical idea of Zhuangzi, to achieve the divine state of Taoism by mixing the western instrument with the Chinese national instruments perfectly.
