If the welder is not getting hot and the temperature readout has a low number starting with a zero that doesn’t increase, the welder’s heating element is burned out. The heating element can be replaced by opening the handle, desoldering the burned-out element from the board, and resoldering a new element in. This video shows the replacement process.
