After the initial planning and layout for my dream garage shop was figured out in the last video, it was time to get the proper electrical service installed in our detached garage.

In this second video in my shop buildout series, we'll go over my search for the best approach to the problem and hiring an electrician to do the work. The best approach involved digging a trench through our backyard from the house to the garage whereby the electrician could run conduit underground and pull wire from the house to the garage. The result is a 100 amp subpanel in my garage that's connected to the main house breaker box.

Now that I have the proper power in the garage, I can run just about any tool out there! Time to get building!
