Wood-Mizer Lt15 Wide Electric - The Journey to Milling the First Log ~ Life in the Log Yard
Everything… and I mean everything takes longer to complete than anticipated. That held true for my journey of milling my first log on my portable sawmill. Although technically speaking my Wood-Mizer LT15 Wide in not that portable. I purposely ordered it to sit on the ground and not to have wheels! I’ll have enough just trying to get through all of the logs in the log yard already. MY first inquiry to Wood-Mizer went unanswered. Not a problem because luck would have it when I called cooperate in Indianapolis, they actually had what I was looking for in stock. A serendipitous chance that was meant to be! Three weeks later the sawmill was being delivered. It took a whoe summer and fall to get everything in place to get the blade spinning. But, spinning it is and we are milling logs at the Workshop.
