Is A STOCK 1.6 Mazda MX-5 Still Fun To Drive? Mazda UK's Heritage MX-5 Driven

Hello guys, and welcome back to Car Obsession. Over the years I've owned a few Mazda MX-5s but I've never driven a standard Mk1...until now. Last month I was lucky enough to slip myself behind the wheel of Mazda UK's heritage 1.6 Mk1 to see whether a standard MX-5 is still fun to drive.

The 1.6 offers a modest 115hp along with 136Nm of torque, which is fed to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. 0-60 comes in around 9 seconds and the top speed is a little north of 120mph.
