As Manipur crisis continues to fester, Ajeet Bharti talks with Rami Niranjan Desai, who has given over 20 years of her life in studying, understanding and researching the northeast region of India. Rami Desai has written extensively on Manipur (and northeast) in form of books, columns and opinion.

She is an author, anthropologist and a scholar of the North East region of India. She focuses on ethnic identity, tribal issues and insurgency. She also comments and keeps a track of developments on the Indo Pacific and current affairs. She regularly writes in all major newspapers and is a panelist on Hindi and English news channels.
