Hey there! To store your rolled oats long-term, I've got a few handy tips for you! First, wash and dry a 5-gallon bucket. Then, I recommend using Mylar bags to divide your bulk rolled oats into smaller bags, which will keep out light and oxygen, ensuring the oats stay fresh longer. This also makes it easier to use them as needed without worrying about the oats going rancid. You can use your preferred size for the Mylar bags, but I used a gallon size. Fill the bag with rolled oats, add oxygen absorbers, and, if you want, a couple of bay leaves for extra protection from bugs. Squeeze out as much air as possible, then seal the bag. I used a clean hair straightener in the hottest setting. Just a quick reminder that Mylar bags are not chew-proof, so it's best to add all Mylar bags to the 5-gallon bucket and close them with a lid. Finally, store your bucket in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight! Your rolled oats will stay fresh and delicious for months or even years. Remember to follow for more quick tips!
