The Altamaha-ha is a legendary sea monster or river monster said to inhabit the waters around the mouth of the Altamaha River near Darien, Georgia. It has also been seen offshore around Sapelo Island and St. Simons Island!
Sightings of the cryptid can be documented back more than 200-years thanks to newspaper accounts provided to newspapers in Savannah and Charleston by sea captains who reported seeing a gigantic sea serpent on the mouth of the Altamaha River!
