These cars have instead of a fully automatic headlight/DRL-switch a light sensor in the instrument cluster to remind you when it darkens ouside to manually switch the headlights on.When the sensor is lit in daytime also the instruments white circular together with the numbers are background lit.When it darkens outside or you are entering a tunnel they will dim gradually.Only the red hands for speed,rev etc will lit in red.
The light sensor is situated to the left in the rev-meter as you can see.
