Maria Island
Maria Island is a truly special place. It has an abundance of wildlife, long sandy beaches, painted cliffs, fossil bays, and an interesting convict heritage.

This mountainous island is in the Tasman Sea, off the east coast of Tasmania. The entire island is a national park, and you can access the island on a 30-minute ferry ride from Triabunna.

Maria Island is 20 kilometres long from north to south and, at its widest, is 13 kilometres from west to east. At its closest point, Point Lesueur, the island lies approximately 4 kilometres off the east coast of Tasmania. There are so many wombats on Maria Island that you will definitely see some when you visit.

Wineglass Bay
You will discover the iconic Wineglass Bay in the Freycinet National Park. This beautiful bay is one of Tasmania's most visited and photographed locations. And you will see why when you reach the lookout and see the crystal clear blue waters and white sandy beach of Wineglass Bay.

You can also walk down the 1000 stone steps through the eucalypt forest to Wineglass Bay Beach. Wineglass Bay is considered one of the top ten beaches in the world. It is nestled in the iconic Hazards range and has crystal clear water and lovely white sand.

Friendly Beaches
The Friendly Beaches Reserve is an amazing coastal nature reserve with long expanses of stunning sandy beaches. Take a short walk or as long as you like to wander and enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches and rocky outcrops.

It is also a stunning place to watch the sunrise and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beach in the early morning.

Apsley Waterhole
In the Douglas-Apsley National Park, you will discover the wonderful Apsley Waterhole. This beautiful, tranquil waterhole with stunning turquoise water is a lovely place to stop and reflect. If it's a warm day, you can wade or swim in the delightfully clear water.

You can also hike to the Apsley Gorge; this 5.6-kilometre return hike takes you through open forest and down steep rocky steps into the gorge surrounded by dolerite cliffs.

Bay of Fires
The Bay of Fires is one of the most beautiful, unspoilt places in Tasmania. It spans over fifty kilometres from Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point.

It is a remote and stunning place with magnificent orange-coloured rock formations, fantastic white sandy beaches and crystal-clear aqua waters.

These magnificent secluded beaches and inlets are a sight to behold and give the Bay of Fires its reputation as one of the most pristine natural wonders of the world.
