Apple Turnover Cake
If you like apples, then you're going to love this cake. Juicy, tender baked apples, a flaky pastry coating, and delicious cinnamon sugar flavor – this apple turnover cake is a true treat! Ingredients:

For the yeast dough:

- 5 cups flour
- 1 tbsp dry yeast
- ¾ cup lukewarm water
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 pinch of salt

For the apple turnover cake:

- 5 apples
- ⅔ cup sugar + 1 tbsp cinnamon
- ⅔ cup sliced almonds, roasted
- 1 whisked egg yolk for the egg wash
- icing for the topping

Bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
