Thanks so much for all the wonderful feedback to my last video! I decided to do this one to hopefully provide a better idea of what is happening inside my mind when I'm thinking. I touched on it a bit in my first video, but I think I've come up with some clearer explanations based on the kinds of questions I've received.
In the video, I talk about the gif in this article: https://www.theverge.com/2017/12/4/16...
Hopefully, the way I use it to talk about thought rendering makes sense. Basically, I can force an inner voice at certain times, but I can't manipulate as it seems others can. I cannot change its pitch, speed, volume, intensity, give it an accent, etc. It also never occurs without conscious effort, so I don't get spontaneous thoughts with it. I believe that I may just be using it in my working memory alone, which is why I can't hold on to long strings of information in it and I can't use it to replay past conversations.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask away. I'll try my best to get to them all!
Thanks for watching!
