Hey Everybody!

It’s been a while since I’ve given an update featuring my 3x8, N Scale “Performance Track” Train Layout. Come check out how the layout looks nowadays and see it in action! I can easily run up to 4 long trains simultaneously on the 4 concentric loops, and it’s fun (and challenging!) to run trains using the 6 crossovers to move from one loop to another.

I’m especially proud of how the box-like format of my baseboard allows me to completely cover my layout with a 2mm Painter’s Drop Cloth when I’m not using it, which keeps dust and curious hands away from my trains! I can even leave trains set up on the layout while they are protected by the drop cloth. Regardless of the actual layout used, my unique train baseboard is perfect for keeping the tracks clean, no matter the location of the layout.

This layout features Kato Unitrack and was constructed using minimal hand tools and Woodland Scenics products including Plaster Cloth and Foam Sheets. I am not an expert builder, just an amateur, and this is the second N Scale layout I’ve constructed. Please check out the playlists for building this 3x8 track, as week as my 4x8 scenic track.
