Yesterday, when I said I was taking it easy, I lied. I didn’t know that I was lying at the time. I really did think that I was taking it easy. In retrospect spending four hours cleaning my office I’m rearranging my bookshelves as a way to “take it easy” was very unhelpful. And now I’m in more pain than I was yesterday and I spent the whole damn day in bed doing nothing. Which I hate. I should have taken my own advice and actually taken it easy, but I feel guilty for being sick and I tricked myself into thinking that as long as I did an unpaid form of labor, I wasn’t still doing work. I’ll get it someday. Hopefully.
