This is the original elevator to this store unlike the Schindler RT that was added in 1992 when this store became JCPenney. This store opened as Gimbel's in 1963, than became Stern's, than JCPenney in 1992, and now in 2017 this JCPenney is closing. I did ask to ride the freight elevator here but unfortunately it didn't work out. Also I did not get busted at the end I believe someone just asked what I was doing but didn't say anything about me filming the elevator. This may or not be the final ride on this elevator because the closing date for this store is 7/31/17.
