Managed to have enough time off to get back out to the creek for the very very end of the chum run.

It was a literal graveyard of dead fish everywhere, and the fish that were live were ........... not very alive at all. I did try and smoke that large chum, and upon looking at the flesh it was better looking than i though, but even with heavy, slow smoking.......... tasted horrendous. 0 / 10, would not recommend.

Fun day though, and to be able to experience that cycle of life was great.

The other thing I noticed, is seagulls seemed to be the gate keepers of death............... they wait for the live salmon to come in, and they eat their god damned eyeballs out of them, while they are still alive. Brutal.
