With our partners in the Kosair Charities Face It Movement, we’re recognizing today, October 4th, as TEN-4 Day. Kids are kids, and sometimes they play in ways that result in minor cuts and bruises on bony areas of the body, like knees and foreheads. However, there are areas of the body where any signs of bruising should be red flags for possible abuse, especially for young children. Keeping kids safe is an adult responsibility.

For this TEN-4 Day kick-off event, we hear remarks from Barry Dunn, president and CEO of Kosair Charities, and Liz Renner, a mom from Madison County whose son experienced pediatric abusive head trauma by a caregiver. We also hear remarks via video from Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Attorney General Daniel Cameron.
