Sometimes artists are mandated to release compilations of older material to prevent certain songs from falling into public domain. The Beach Boys are no exception to this rule, hence the plethora of Beach Boys digital (and occasionally physical) archival sets.

Released in December of 2014 alongside the "Live in Sacramento 1964" collection, "Keep an Eye on Summer" showcases sessions, outtakes, and other treasures from the group's fecund 1964 recording sessions.

While not everything is new, this digital release covers many of the group's recognizable songs and explores them in fun new ways. Do you have this release? What do you think?
