I've been waiting a while to surf Torre Abbey Sands, Torquay, underneath the Grand Hotel on a low, low tide. On the 18th September 2024, a north-easterly breeze, bending swell in around the headland, combined with the low-tide pull of the Supermoon, provided the opportunity for running waves. :)
