This was my first time ever driving the Palatov D1, and boy what a kick it is. Let me make a few comments...

1) First lap was VERY slow. You could even say I was puttering around the track. Cold tires, new-to-me car, 430 HP in an 1100 lb car... Yes I was nervous. I've been bitten by cold tires before. And as slow as I was going, I did get a bit of wiggle in Turn 2. So this was definitely a warm-up lap in every sense. :)

2) The car is not set up for me at all, my seating position was not ideal but what was needed to get me to reach the pedals. (Yes, I'm short, don't laugh too much.) I couldn't push the gas pedal all the way down, so acceleration isn't what it could have been.

3) Also due to the weird seating position, I was reclined with no real support behind my upper shoulders so I had to work extra hard to keep my head up. Honestly, it was my neck tiring out that caused me to come in after only about 10 minutes. Time to beefcake!
