Back to Sweden's and Europe's last wilderness, Sarek National Park. This time, again in the company of David, the tour goes around the Pårtem massif, a hike of just over a week that has been called Sarek's best tour. We start in
Kvikkjokk and hikes to Pårekslätten. Then we follow the slope of the pårte massif in a north-eastern direction, and hike through a pass to Sarvesvagge. After following the Sarvesjåhkkå glacier river for a bit, we turn up on the high plateau, which we cross. Then we walk a bit down into the jungle-like valley Njoatsosvagge, before we make our way back to Pårteslätten and Kvikkjokk.
We hiked between August 31 and September 7.
