In 1989 Elton John released his 22nd album Sleeping With The Past, and this is a cover of the title track from the album. The album is notable for the hit single "Sacrifice" that became Elton John's first number one single in the UK. It is also the last album that Elton John made before going into rehab in 1990.

This particular song was played around the release of the album during the Sleeping With The Past Tour. In live situations the song was played significantly faster than on the album. The song has not been played live since 1989.
