I have a Kobalt 1000 ft pound impact wrench and the retainer ring messed up and needed replacing. Instead of sending it off for repair and waiting who knows how long for it to be fixed, I ordered a kit off the internet and attempted to repair it myself. The first attempt failed but the second kit I purchased worked great.

This video covers the installation and testing as well as how poorly the other kit fit. It was too large of a ring and the sockets didn't fit well at all.
