Friday 25th October, 1415: Dawn breaks over the village of Azincourt in northern France to reveal two opposing armies, separated by a few hundred metres of rain-sodden ground. A small English army of 6,000 men, led by King Henry V of England, has been corned by a far larger French force of some 25,000 troops, while attempting to reach the English-controlled stronghold of Calais. The ensuing bloodbath at Agincourt would send shockwaves throughout Europe, and become known in France as ‘La Malheureuse Journee’ (that unfortunate day).

This mini-documentary offers an overview of the Battle of Agincourt
