This square is the first square of the 366 days of Granny Squares challenge I am running this year. The challenge is about creating a new original granny square pattern and publishing a written pattern on my blog daily during the entire year. This is the square "Day 1". The 1st 100 squares are in this size, which makes them easier to combine into any size blanket or any other project made of granny squares.

I will be adding video tutorials to all the squares during this and the following years.
In this video tutorial, I use YarnArt Finland yarn in colors 805, 150, 20, 853, 3072. And 5 mm hook. The final size of the square in this yarn is 9 inches / 23 cm.
