This video is a full-service guide for a Rockshox Deluxe Select plus inline rear shock. The service is similar to other deluxe shocks, Ultimate, Nude, RT3, RL, RT, R, Select, etc. But there are some differences in tools needed between the models and the years of the models to perform the service. Make sure to verify your model of shock. I plan to make videos for each model in the future
This service isn't all that difficult. I'm positive most people can perform it. Rockshox engineered their inline shocks to be easily serviceable, way more so than FOX DPS inline shocks. EX: The damper body has a Schrader valve, which makes it easy for anyone to fill the IFP chamber with a shock pump. The bleed hole is angled, which makes it easier to remove and install. There is no need to remove the lifting rod shaft from the shock head as the seals are on the lifting rod (very smart imo), etc.
Nothing beats freshly serviced shocks and forks, Rockshox thought about its customers when designing these shocks, making it as easy as possible to service them with the least number of tools and effort.
As always, if you have any questions, leave them in the comments, and I'll get to them the first chance I get.
