WART REMOVAL

First of all let's understand what warts are? They are benign skin growths caused by human papilloma virus (HPV). Just like any other infection, the human papilloma virus also passes from person to person. A person can infected if one touches an object used by someone who has the virus, it is that easy. But the positive thing is that they are benign, and one can get rid of warts, but it is advisable that one should get the wart checked by a skin specialist.

So how do warts look, they are usually rough to feel and are skin-coloured. But sometimes they can be dark, flat and smooth too. They can grow one at a time or together in bunches. If they are picked or cut they can bleed. But it is easy to remove warts. Sometimes they contain one or more tiny black dots; they are clotted blood vessels and are called wart seeds. But one fact that stands out is that the wart virus affects people differently. While some people even if they are exposed to the virus don't get warts while some do. Research says that the likelihood of getting warts is like catching a cold. Research also says that if one's immune system is weak, that person will be more prone to getting infected with wart virus.

There are many kinds of warts, but the most common warts grow on hands. These warts grow where skin has been broken and usually where fingernails have been bitten. Plantar warts are another type of warts, commonly found on the soles, or plantar area, of feet. When a person walks the action pushes plantar warts back into the skin, this becomes painful. If warts grow in clusters they are called mosaic warts. As far as flat warts are concerned, they are small, smooth and tend to grow in large numbers. These type of warts grow anywhere on the body. These types of warts are most likely to be found around where people shave like the faces of men and the legs on women. It is believed that the irritation from shaving probably helps in the development of flat warts.

So what are the various ways of getting rid of warts? One can use freezing also known as cryotherapy as a method for removing warts. Some people prefer to burn it or have electro surgery done to treat warts. Sometimes doctors advice laser for removal of warts, especially when other methods fail. Most people go in for over the counter surface-peeling preparations such as salicylic acid for wart removal. Retinoid is also used to disrupt a wart's skin cell growth, they are derived from Vitamin A. Immunotherapy is another method, though not widely used it attempts to use the bodies own rejection system.

All in all the conclusion is that if someone gets warts that should consult a specialist and plan a line of treatment. And all new warts should be treated as soon as possible, this is necessary to prevent them from shedding the virus into nearby skin area which will again create additional warts.
