Welcome back to sitar gurukul. we have come back once again, as a bigger and better platform for all the sitarists and lovers of this instrument in the world. In this new start of phase-2 of our program, we start off by showing you an essential skill for any practitioner of the sitar. Jawari, is believed to be a Persian word, which translates to "giving life". Over time, the bridge on the sitar will be damaged and will need this process. Usually, sitar makers are masters of this maintenance techniques, however finding them globally will surely be a problem. In today's episode, we show you a step by step guide on how you can do the jawari on your sitar and become an expert on it over time.
