Luffy and Ace met Alpha Shadow Garden.

Shadow Garden is a mysterious hidden clandestine global organization founded by Cid Kagenou also known as Shadow. Its primary goal was to eliminate the Cult of Diablos and prevent them from resurrecting the ancient demon, Diablos.

Shadow Garden's ultimate objective is to fight against the Cult of Diablos's perpetual reign over the world by defying their rule and overthrowing the Cult's evil machinations in all countries, to thwart their schemes by dismantling all the Cult's operations and eliminating their influence.

Having originally operated as a small organization, Shadow Garden musters its forces by finding and recruiting all the girls who have been persecuted due to symptoms of Demon Possession under the society's horrific prejudice caused by the Cult's cruelty by healing them and then training them into powerful warriors with abilities that surpass those from the Cult, thus building up its military strength.

To combat the Cult's reign over the world, Shadow Garden build this influence in the Midgar Kingdom by creating its hidden persona as an esteemed public figure with incredible talent, forging connections with society and gathering resources to establish its public front Mitsugoshi Company, in order to amass wealth for funding their mission.

The origins of Shadow Garden date back to the boyhood of Cid Kagenou, who was determined to fulfill his dream of becoming an "Eminence in the Shadows". To accomplish this, Cid routinely snuck out of his home to fight against bandits within his vicinity. During one such outing, he discovered a rotting but surprisingly alive body, heavily mutated by Demon Possession. Originally aiming to relieve it of its suffering, Cid noticed it possessed an abundance of magic power and gleefully took it to test his own limits. He performed multiple experiments on the body and accidentally restored the girl to her true self after a month's work.

Thinking she might be useful to his cause, Cid fabricated a story and convinced the elf girl that she was the descendant of one of the Three Heroes who defeated the demon Diabolos, the one responsible for cursing her bloodline with Demon Possession. The Cult of Diablos, who worshipped the ancient demon, that was responsible for the demonic possession that happened to her and the other descendants, even had been planning to resurrect Diablos. The enraged girl then swore loyalty to her new master, Cid who later declared his name as Shadow, and named the girl Alpha and the two co-found Shadow Garden.Ironically, Cid's fabrication was actually true to every detail, unbeknownst to him, and everyone else in Shadow Garden knows this truth, having investigated thoroughly, while he believes it to be role-play.

Together, Shadow and Alpha formed the organization Shadow Garden, which the duo later recruited six more girls within their first year, each possessing the same affliction as Alpha and cured just as similarly. They spent their time training and learning under their leader, studying subjects such as swordsmanship, martial arts, R&D, business, economics, the arts, and literature. Furthermore, Cid's stories from his previous life inspired them to use those concepts to expand their influence, creating public personas that garnered acclaim and prestige by monetizing the knowledge he gifted them.

Already feeling indebted to having been saved from their plight, the girls have dedicated their own lives to Cid after being freed from their possession by training their powers and mastering their respective abilities as well as being granted his vast otherworldly knowledge known as "Shadow Wisdom" when being under his expert tutelage, which resulted these seven girls to become Shadow's closest trusted companions and given the title known as the "Seven Shadows" into his servitude.
