When will our cars get the kind of heads-up displays seen in science fiction films? Distance Technologies, founded by the team behind Varjo VR, is taking mixed-reality display technologies previously used in AR glasses and developing them for use in windshields. We met up with the company’s co-founders to check out their prototypes and learn what it’ll take to put holographic heads-up-displays in the cars of the future.
