Today on Studiotronics: we've recently introduced our son to the world of telescopes. You never know if something will stick with kids -- and this one really stuck! So now the next step is to mod this newbie telescope INTO THE GROUND. Lots of woodworking and 3D printing.
Check out this instructable. It's for a much larger and nicer telescope but it was my guide for when I had questions. I basically had to redo everything from scratch since the telescopes were so different, so be wary of that if you decide to do your own mount!
