The metals in the camera used to film this throws off the compass needle making precise measurements very hard when being filmed. Ideally the compass needle would come to rest at a point when measuring the striking direction of a surface but for this video there was no way to get a close up of the method without throwing off the measurement. Please don't doc me points for that I tried.
