I am an award-winning painter whose
practice includes photography and
installation. This analogue photograph was
taken inside the former RAF Aircraft Hanger,
Grangemouth in January 2023. Stripped out
to reveal its original complex structure, I had
permission to photograph before its next
transformation. I grew up in Grangemouth
nearby this historic building. The title comes
from Walter Benjamin’s essay Theses on the
Concept of History and is a current theme in
my work and in my ongoing Grangemouth
project.
