ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर के अनुसार नए साल का उत्सव १ जनवरी को मनाते मनाते हम इतने अधिक आधुनिक हो गए हैं कि स्वयं अपने नव वर्ष को मनाना भूल चुके हैं। १ जनवरी को नया साल मनाना कोई बुरी बात नही है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मानक के रूप में यह एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण दिन है इसलिए हमें इसे अवश्य मनाना चाहिए, लेकिन स्वयं अपनी संस्कृति को भी नही भूलना चाहिए। यह नव वर्ष मंगलकामना गीत इसी दिशा में एक प्रयास है। आइये, अपनी संस्कृति तथा भाषा पर गर्व करने का संकल्प करें और इस वर्ष अपना नव वर्ष बहुत धूम-धाम से मनाएँ !

In a bid to call ourselves progressive, we are so much used to celebrating the new year on 1 January according to the Gregorian calendar that we have started to ignore our own respective ethnic New Year beginnings. 1 January is a very important milestone date in terms of standardizing the international calendars, and we must celebrate this date, but not at the cost of ignoring our own cultural New Years. So, this year, let us celebrate the first days of our respective New Years with gusto!
