Blackberry Peach Cobbler

We had a special guest in the house for this one and she brought us this fabulous recipe. This dessert was so fresh and tasty! We cannot wait to make this one again; give it a try and let us know what you think!

• 2 Cups of Blackberries
• 1/4 Cup of Sugar for Blackberries
• 4 Peaches peeled and sliced
• 1/2 Cup of Sugar for Peaches
• 1/2 TBSP of Vanilla Extract
• 1 Shot of Crown Peach
• 2 Cups of Flour
• 2 TBSP of Baking Powder
• 2 Cups of Sugar (for batter)
• 2 Cups of Milk
• 1.5 Sticks of Butter Melted

Mix the Blackberries and ¼ Cup of sugar and let sit for 30 mins. Combine the Peaches, Peach Crown, Vanilla Extract and ½ Cup of Sugar. Place in a medium saucepan and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Then combine the flour, Baking Powder, Sugar and Milk, blend until smooth. In a Dutch oven melt 1.5 sticks of butter. Pour the batter over the butter and then add both the Blackberries and Peaches, use as much or little of the juice. Do not mix, just place the fruit on top of the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or our homemade whipped cream!
