With our BougeRV solar glued down to the three cabin tops on Brupeg its time to deal with the limiting factor that was holding us back from unleashing its full power potential. Our four small charge controllers were undersized (we actually fried two of them...) and this mean't we couldn't allow the full power of the panels to flow through, they were throttled back.
We couldn't afford to upgrade to the correct size and buy the 7 remaining charge controllers, Cerbo monitoring unit and the victron cables needed to make the system run until now. Thanks to your patreon support, Brupeg has been given a Christmas present in the form of a full victron MPPT control system.
Part one of this two part series deals with the revamp that was needed inside the battery box area to accomodate such a large number of solar controllers and the first connection of solar energy flowing through the new system.
