Shri Kedarnath Dham Yatra :-
Shri Kedarnath Dham is in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand and it is one of the Char Dham of Uttarakhand. Along with being in the Char Dham, it is also one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham also open in the last week of April or in May.
Kedarnath Dham is only 240 kms from Uttarkashi and about 240 kms from Haridwar.
The journey of Char Dham is done after visiting Yamunotri dhamandGangotri dham.
We also went to Kedarnath Dham from Uttarkashi after visiting Yamunotri and Gangotri.
While going from Uttarkashi on the way we had lunch at kraunch resturant at Agastya Muni and then took room for night stay at phata 20 kms before Sonprarayag.
In Phata we took a room at Shiva Tourist Lodge for 500 rs per bed. We left for sonprayag from Phata at 3a.m. in the night. There was a long traffic jam 3 kilometre before Sonprayag and we had to walk from Sitapur to Sonprayag.
Cabs drives from Sonparyag to Gorikund and the fare is 50rs per head. Beyond Gorikund, the trek to Kedarnath begins, which is 17-18 kms. Many devotees also do this trek by helicopter 🚁 which runs from guptkashi, sersi or phata. The round trip fare of Helicopter is as follows:-

Guptkashi to Shri Kedarnath - 7740rs
Sersi to Shri Kedarnath - 5498rs
Phata to Shri Kedarnath - 5500rs

Here, the devotees should keep in mind that the site from which they book the helicopter ticket should be genuine, because we found many passengers who were cheated. This is the genuine site of helicopter booking:-

The government rate for the devotees who trek by horse is 2950 rs, but at this rate no horseman goes and 4000 to 5000 rs are charged from the passengers. Palki also goes from Gaurikund and its rate is taken from 10000 to 15000 according to the weight.
We completed this trek by horse which took us 4 hours.
After reaching Shri Kedarnath Dham, we had aarti darshan and then went to Bikaner house in which we had already booked room.

The next day at 4 a.m. we conducted a special puja. Special Puja ticket on first day evening at 5 p.m. Se 6.30 p. m. It is available in between and its booking is also done online, the link of which is :-

After getting the puja done, we visited the Bhim Shila and then visited the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya ji 50 meters away from the temple.
After this we started the trek to the bottom which we completed on foot. Lots of scenic views are on the way. This Yatra will be very memorable.
