Here's how to build inexpensive, DIY heat shields to protect critical components in your car's engine bay. The heat shield I built is to protect my brake lines, reservoir and master cylinder from heat from my turbo Miata's exhaust downpipe. This method of making heat shields from sheet aluminum is quite effective for the cost.
