The aptly named Tiger Beach a shallow sandflat about an hour by boat from West End, Grand Bahama Island. There are numerous tiger sharks, lemon sharks, bull sharks and nurse sharks here. We also got to see a beautiful great hammerhead named "Queen".
Most of the tiger sharks here are females and it is theorized that pregnant females come to these warmer waters to speed up their gestation before moving off to give birth in the Atlantic.
The dive itself is very easy and pleasant. Everyone is heavily overweighted, to ensure we remain stationary against the strong currents.
