The 3D effect is one of the most favorite techniques for many quilters. Quilts of such blocks captivate our attention, making us examine them carefully and constantly seek for new and interesting interpretations. There`re a huge number of layout options. We have only 6, but the middle can be shifted to a corner, catching the eye and starting the whole pattern. You can also use a much larger number of strips. Then the effect can exceed all your expectations, even though the block is very simple. You can arrange two centers in different corners and "expand" them. In addition to a huge number of layout options, this block allows you to play with a different transition and combination of fabrics. The gradient and selection of various colorful fabrics will be appropriate, too. It all depends on the desired result and your creative abilities! If you have any questions, be sure to write them in the comments. Don`t forget to subscribe to our channel so as not to miss our latest workshops!

The "My Patch" channel conducts quilting master classes. Here you'll find amusing, quick, and easy video lessons on how to make fabric blocks and various quilting and patchwork schemes. For clarity, every video has design of a final product. It's very convenient, as you see how the patchwork looks like and how you can use each block on practice.
