How to build a simple wildlife water hole - I went to Tractor Supply and purchased a 15 gallon water tub used typically for farm animals. Then I dug a hole alongside a wildlife trail behind our home, filled the tub with water, planted a few ferns and positioned a trail camera above the site. I use a sponge and bucket to empty and clean the tub every three weeks and I leave a hose nearby for refilling. After a couple of months, most of the wildlife becomes familiar with the water hole and begins to feel at ease stopping by.
