I interviewed my great grandma just a year before she passed in 2013. She was 98, sharp and was able to recall her story of working in the fields in Mississippi back in the early 1900s. Her story of picking cotton inspired me to learn more about the crop.
I painted a beautiful cotton flower using the soothing powers of watercolors.
