Want to write something funny? Writer/teachers Tessa and Pat grill veteran BBC comedy writer Dave Cohen. Dave, being a decent chap, spills the beans and gives his best tips gleaned from thirty-five years as a top comedy writer in the UK. You're getting it from the horse's mouth, folks.

About Dave: Dave Cohen is a writer, comedian, Edinburgh Festival Perrier Award nominee, founder member of the Comedy Store Players, and has been a constant presence on the British comedy scene for more than 35 years.

He's written nearly 100 songs for the multi-BAFTA winning BBC hit Horrible Histories and, since 2006, has been script editing and teaching comedy writing to everyone from beginners to hit sitcom writers.

He's written two books: 'How To Be Averagely Successful At Comedy' and 'The Complete Comedy Writer' – “Comprehensive, funny, and ridiculously up-to-date guide for anyone who wants to write comedy. About Pat Dunn: Patricia Dunn is author of the young adult novel, Rebels by Accident (Sourcebooks Fire).
