LIV Golf has taken the golfing world by storm. But is what they're doing to 'change the game' actually good for the game?

UPDATE: World No. 2 Cameron Smith is heading to LIV. That changes things! But still, is LIV changing the game for the better?

NOTE: As a quick note to the inevitable ‘whataboutism’ that will come from some about supporting businesses that Saudi Arabia is involved with: Yes, Saudi Arabia invests in all sorts of companies that you interact with every single day – Starbucks, Disney, etc. These companies may even advertise on the PGA Tour! But there’s still room for a nuanced look at the situation, which would show a difference between the Saudi government being an investor in a company and the Saudi government independently starting a brand new golf league for the sole purpose of providing good PR in the West for the country. They’ve done it already with their support of F1 and the purchase of Newcastle United in the English Premier League.
