We have been to the Grand Canyon a number of times, but we had never been to the so-called West Rim of the Grand Canyon before. Unlike the better known South and North Rims, Grand Canyon West is not part of the Grand Canyon National Park. It is part of the Hualapai Nation, and is probably best known for the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a platform that sticks out over the Grand Canyon with a see-through floor.

Grand Canyon West consists of three main areas, Eagle Point, where the skywalk is, Guano Point, and Hualapai Point. Grand Canyon West also features things you won't find at the National Park such as a biplane and helicopter rides to the bottom.

In this video we spend one day at Grand Canyon West, exploring the three main areas, checking out the history, and of course taking in the views.

We purchased a package deal that included admission to Grand Canyon West and Skywalk tickets, that cost $67 a person.
