Hedy Iracema-Brügelmann nasceu em Porto Alegre-Brasil, em 16 de agosto de 1879. Faleceu em Karlsruhe, em 1941.
Estreou em Stuttgart, em 1910, como Elisabeth, no Tannhäuser, de Wagner. Em 1913, apresentou-se no Royal Opera House, como a Marshallin, no Der Rosenkavalier, de Richard Strauss, papel que também cantou na Ópera de Zurique em 1917. Em 26 de setembro de 1915 cantou o papel título na estréia mundial da ópera Mona Lisa, de Max von Schillings.
Entre 1917 e 1920 foi contratada da Wiener Staatsoper, onde já havia cantado em 1916. Até 1920 cantou, na Staatsoper, entre outras as seguintes óperas: Aida, O Baile de Máscaras, Carmem, Lohengrin, Parsifal, Der fliegende Holländer, Gli Ugonotti, Martha, Ariadne auf Naxos, Der Rosenkavalier e Elektra. Atuou também na Ópera de Berlin e em concertos com a Filarmônica de Berlin.

Hedy Iracema-Brügelmann was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in August 16, 1879. He died in Karlsruhe, in 1941. She made her debut in 1910, as Elisabeth in Tannhäuser.
