As part of Forbidden Worlds Film Festival 2024, we had our inaugural Genre Film-Makers of the Future: Shorts Showcase where filmmakers from all over the world could send in their horror, action and sci-fi shorts and get them screened at the festival on our giant 19m x 15m screen.

In-person attendees were also able to vote for what they think should win the inaugural Forbidden Worlds Audience Choice award!

During the festival, Sarah Williams spoke to Another Day in Buenoseres director Cameron Medford-Hawkins about his time at the festival.

About the film and director:

ANOTHER DAY IN BUENOSERES (2023, UK, Dir: Cameron Medford-Hawkins, Sci-Fi)

In an unusual bar on an unknown planet, filled with unlikely characters, power takes on new meaning. ‘Company man’ Gus is on the hunt for the last target on his contract, but in this world of dark deeds, shady characters and supernatural assassins, all but the best laid plans go awry.

Born in Reading and having relocated to Bristol to study film, Another Day in Buenoseres is Cameron Medford-Hawkin’s debut film.
