"Just excited to get the win, yeah. It's hard to win in this league, so we're excited to get the win. Our fans created a couple of false starts that really helped us win this football game.

But I’m just excited to get the win and I appreciate the Linc’s [Lincoln Financial Field’s] support."

Sirianni Praises Fans, Players After Gritty Eagles Victory

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni shared his excitement following a hard-fought win at Lincoln Financial Field, crediting both the fans and his players for their contributions. In his postgame press conference, Sirianni expressed how much the crowd's energy played a pivotal role in the game, particularly in creating key false starts that gave the Eagles a competitive edge.

“Our fans created a couple of false starts that really helped us win this football game,” Sirianni said. “I appreciate the Linc’s support. It’s hard to win in this league, so we’re excited to get the win.”

While thrilled with the victory, Sirianni acknowledged there were plenty of mistakes to correct, emphasizing the difficulty of winning in the NFL. He vowed the team would remain focused on improving.

“We had mistakes, and first and foremost, those are always going to be on me,” Sirianni said. “Did we play like a championship-level team today? No. But we’ll celebrate the things we did well and be hard on the things we didn’t do well.”

One ongoing concern this season has been the offense’s slow starts, something Sirianni addressed head-on. Despite a sluggish opening, the Eagles still managed to get points on the board and take control of the game.

“The defense started fast, but the offense started slowly,” he admitted. “We didn’t execute early on, but then they put their heads down, got points, and went up 10-nothing. We’ll keep working on that.”

Quarterback Jalen Hurts earned high praise from Sirianni for his play, particularly in leading key drives and making adjustments on the field.

“Jalen played an unbelievable game today,” Sirianni said. “He made a perfect throw, and A.J. [Brown] made a perfect catch. That’s what great players do—make plays when we need them most.”

Sirianni also touched on his animated demeanor throughout the game, revealing that his players had asked for his heightened energy on the sidelines. His enthusiasm, he believes, sets the tone for the team.

“I was having fun,” he said. “I got feedback from the guys, and they said, ‘We need your energy.’ If I want the guys to celebrate and be themselves after big plays, then I should do that myself too.”

Reflecting on key moments, Sirianni acknowledged the immense challenge posed by Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, calling him “as advertised” and noting the Eagles had spent considerable time game-planning around him.

“I’ve never seen anything like Myles Garrett. That dude is something else,” Sirianni said. “He’s just a phenomenal football player, and he made a play on special teams that really stood out.”

The head coach also took time to discuss the value of family, explaining why he brought his children to the press conference. Sirianni shared heartfelt memories of growing up around the game of football, which fostered his deep love for the sport.

“These moments are so important,” Sirianni said emotionally. “I want my kids to fall in love with this game the way I did. That’s why they’re here—to experience what I did growing up.”

Despite the team’s imperfections, Sirianni is confident they’ll continue to improve, especially with the support of their passionate fan base.

“When our crowd cheers for us, we thrive off of them,” Sirianni said. “We’ve got work to do, but we’re going to fix it.”

As the Eagles move forward, Sirianni emphasized the importance of staying humble and hungry, with eyes set on making the necessary adjustments to compete at the highest level.
