There is no one with a more tragic story than Ben Solo Organa Skywalker.

This video is basically my love letter to Ben Solo and appreciation for Adam Driver's amazing ability to tell the story of the most interesting character in Star Wars. I don't personally subscribe to Rey Palpatine/Skywalker, so for me at the end of TROS was the end of the Skywalker bloodline and legacy.

He lived a life with a head filled with voices that weren't his own and died in the arms of his Dyad, finally returning to the light after 7 years of torture. After almost being killed by Luke in his sleep, he was suffocated by the darkness and couldn't forgive himself for 7 years until there was no one left to return home to other than Rey. He killed his father and his master, both actions making him a traitor to both sides of himself.

I spent a month on this video and in the end, it just didn't seem right for me to add his death scene. Basically every part of his life was a tragedy, and I kind of wanted to end this video on a more hopeful note. For 20 seconds he wasn't alone, and honestly he should have had more time.

I was definitely not planning on posting this video until March 19th, but the HD footage dropped today and I couldn't help myself. So enjoy the angst, and I will be back soon with some other Rey and Ben videos, I might tackle another Rey character study, but I'm not a huge fan of her development in the last movie so I don't really know yet. I will probably have another Ben video, maybe with Han or Leia (or both) but as of right now this project has burned me out.
