Today we're taking a look at my test bench rig for testing graphics cards, coolers, and gaming benchmarks. I typically standardize my testing on 1 platform for a while, so all of the recent Cyberpunk, Red Dead, Final Fantasy and 3DMark benchmarks are all coming from this test system. Right now the system is based on the Ryzen 7700X running on an ASRock x670e PG Lightning with 32gb of DDR5-6000 which G.Skill had sent over to me for review. For the CPU cooler, I'm running the be quiet pure loop 2 360mm AIO. The system is built inside of the be quiet 800 FX case which is huge. I really like this case, it lends itself really well to being used as a test bench that is actually a case. I have used some open air test benches in the past but I prefer to try to use a case. Generally speaking, most people don’t run systems without normal cases. The whole system is powered by the be quiet straight power 12 PSU and this is the 1,000watt version. This allows me to pretty much use any components I get my hands on without swapping the PSU and cabling which saves me time. Of course, thanks to be quiet for sending over the parts for various review videos, they’ve gone to good use for these benchmarking videos. I set this system up a while ago now and it’s been working out very well. I've been able to quickly and easily swap out a ton of GPUs lately for the GPU review videos and Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail benchmarks. The size of this case like I said is awesome, it's huge. The case being so big makes it super easy to work in on top of the good cable management and routing features and just the fact that I can fit a huge 360mm AIO without the case feeling crammed, this super important for swapping parts. Right now I have my trusty GTX 1050 Ti installed, it looks funny being so small but, if I need to put a large 400mm GPU in here, it would definitely fit. In terms of the CPU choice, the Ryzen 7700X is a solid gaming CPU and while it's not one of the x3d chips, it's definitely still a good gaming CPU.
